Titleholder Biography
Kellie Lightbourn was crowned Mrs. Universe® in May 2026. She makes her home in Stuart, Florida, in Martin County on the Treasure Coast, where she serves her year as titleholder.
Mrs. Lightbourn is an attorney and a longtime journalist. She served as a television legal advocate and expert for ABC Action News, helping viewers understand the legal questions that shape their everyday lives.
For decades, she has been a committed advocate for individuals with special needs. That commitment is deeply personal: her son lives with Cornelia de Lange syndrome (CdLS) and autism. Her experience as a parent informs her work to increase awareness, champion inclusion and support families who share a similar journey.
Her record of service includes serving as a board director for the National Humane Society and as a spokesperson for ARC.
Mrs. Lightbourn is the mother of twins and two bonus sons.
